Quality starts with materials

YALA’s safari tents are crafted from high-quality materials. Our materials are developed together with experts and exceeds in this.

The most important properties in a fabric are;

  • The Mildew level. Rated on a scale from 0 to 5, where 0 represents the best antifungal qualities
  • The Colourfastness Grade. Rated on a scale from 0 to 7, with 7 indicating the highest level of colourfastness
  • Tear and Tensile strength
  • Weight

Our canvas

The canvas of our safari tents are crafted from premium-quality polyester and polycotton. In collaboration with leading industry experts, we have developed an exclusive, high-performance canvas tailored specifically for our YALA safari tents. Independent ISO testing confirms that our tent fabric surpasses the standard materials commonly used in glamping accommodations.

FPTC 420

This canvas distinguishesitself due to its high quality in combination with its fire-retardant properties. With the fire-retardant top layers, this canvas has a global fire safety rating and is approved by the NFPA.

YK 48

This canvas is a poly-cotton (70-30) canvas. The YK-48 canvas is breathable and has a moisture-regulating effect. A special fabric treatment ensures that we have the best antifungal qualities.

FPTC 700 (Insulated Canvas)

Especially for cold or very warm climates the insulating canvas FPTC 700 is developed. The core consists of hollow polyester fibre with strong insulating properties. The combination of insulated canvas with fire-retardant top layers makes this canvas unique.

Roof

The quality of the roofs of our glamping lodges starts with the design. Our designers have developed a double open-worked roof that allows air to flow freely and minimises the load under (extreme) weather conditions. This innovative design provides extra ventilation and a more pleasant indoor climate. The quality of our roofs has been confirmed in independent tests (ISO) and meets the strictest European test standards.

PVC

The PVC roof is attached firmly to the structure and held under tension with ratchets and tensioning straps. The roof has a high colourfastness value, the best UV treatment, and is fire-retardant for safe accommodation.

PVDF

The PVDF roof has a longer lifespan than PVC. Additionally, the roof has undergone an extra UV treatment, and thanks to the smooth properties of the PVDF, it is virtually a maintenance-free roof.
